Beacon Hill

I liked it when Johnny goes to beacon hill and Mr. Lyte says that he stole the silver cup so he got arested, I liked this part of the story because, Mr Lyte gets outsmarted by a boy and he is jealus. Do you like that part? If you did why did you like that part.

Mean Mr. Lyte

Johnny took the cup to Mr. Lyte because he thought God had turned away from him. When Johnny Took the cup to Mr. Lyte he nearly threw him out . But then Mr Lyte found out that he could trick him and get the cup and not get Johnny. How would you feel if your own family turned you out and made you go to jail.

Baby Rabbit

Did you like the part where Johnny was talking to Aunt Lornes baby was neat? i sure did i thought it was very funny when he was having a normal conversation with a baby he doesn’t even know that well because he hasn’t worked there for long. Even sometimes Aunt Lorne would need to go to the store and he would babysit the baby. He also gave the baby a nickname because it looked so much like Rabb and its nickname is Baby Rabbit.

Talks to Rabbit

I liked the part where Johnny was talking to Rabbit and he said Aunt Lorne I think Rabbit is wet. Why do you think Johnny  was pretending to read and play with Rabbit?? My opinoin is that Johnny just doesn’t want admit that he likes to play with Rabbit, and he doesn’t want them to think that he likes little babbies.

Johnny and Rabbit

I like the part when Aunt Lorne and Uncle Lorne let Johnny watch there baby for them. The aunt and uncle told Johnny to put the baby in the cradle and they said that if the baby did not go to sleep they told Johnny to rock the baby with his foot. While he was rocking the baby he started reading Tom Jones and Johnny got so interested in the book he rocked the baby for half an hour. The baby gulped Johnny took it philosophically like rab so Johhny started to call him Rabbit.

Johnny & Rabbit

I love how Johnny talks to Rabbit. I can kind of relate to it because I have a baby sister at home and I feel that’s how Johnny talks to Rabbit. I just want to know, how would you treat a newborn baby at your house? One more question, how do you relate to Johnny and Rabbit?

Going to court, and Goblin

One of my favorite parts in the few chapters we read, was when Johnny went to court. I liked it because it shows how loyal to Johnny Rab is, also I liked it when Cilla and Isahnna helped back up Johnny’s story. I don’t like this part because of the way Mr. Lyte talks about Johnny. What do you think about this part??

Another one pf my favorite parts was when Johnny learns to ride a horse… but not just any horse. He learns to ride Goblin. You should be able to tell about Goblin by his name. He rode him like he has been riding horses all his life. What is your opinion??

Too Much Pride

I think the book is good so far. But the cool stuff is just getting started. Also Isannah should treat Johnny better. The part that I like is when he was confident  about getting the cup done, but forgot about the “too much pride verse” in the Bible. I also like the part when he goes swimming. It reminds me of summer. But all in all, Johnny Lyte Tremain has TOO MUCH PRIDE.

Johnny’s Shopping Spree!

In the book Johnny Tremain I like the part where he was looking for a job and Mr.Hancock was like whoa! look at his hand and he sent Jehu to give Johnny the money. He spent his money for a wonderful dinner, a pair of shoes, a picture book and some crayons, and some limes for Ishanna. Then Mrs.Lapham was like you stole all of this stuff and she said this will not go on in my house!

What do you think?

I think that Mr. Hancock was nice to Johnny because when he wrote Mr. Hancock didn’t stare at Johnny’s hand. Mr. Hancock was mean when he yelled at him to get out of the building, and told him he came in here and wasted his time. Johnny was disappointed until he met the slave named Jehu gave him a sack of money from Mr.Hancock. Johnny wasted his money on Cofee and food.

The J.L.T book

This book is really good so far. I wonder what Johnny is going to get for a job?! Johnny could work with Rab, or he could work for a merchandiser. Johnny can’t do a lot of the jobs because Johnny got tricked by Dove and got a severe burn, but that’s another story.

Johnny was helping Mr. Lapham work on a sugar basin for Mr.Hancock. Dove was trying to get Johnny back for treating him like a dog,and gave him a cracked crucible.Johnny slipped on some wax he himself didn’t clean up, and burned his hand on the stove. I think Isannah treated Johnny badly after the limes spilled. How do you think Isannah treated Johnny?

J.L.T

How did you feel when Isahnna treated Johnny like dirt after all that he had done for them? I felt pity for Johnny, especially when he was laying there on his mothers grave sobbing. I also thought it was very nice of Mr.Hancock to give him money.

Johnny Treiman

I  think that the book is going to have a good time or a bad time. But I also think that the new charachters are going to change the story on how it is  now. I don’t  like Dove as much as how rude he is to Johnny. Dove doesn’t want to hurt Johnny , but he  wants to embarrass him when John hurts his hand. The sad part is when Johnny sees his Mom’s grave. I know lots of Johnny Tremain,  but I have lots of stuff on my mind still. How would you feel if your mom or dad died?

Jonny Tremain

Today in our class reading I was really surprised that Mr. Hancock did not stare at Jonny’s crippled hand. I had made a prediction when Mr. Hancock was introduced, I thought he would be mean and stuck up. But when we read today I found that my prediction was incorrect and I know Johnny was happy to have a person like Mr. Hancock not to pity him. How do you think Jonny felt when he knew he was having his hand stared at? Why do you think Mr Hancock gave him the money? What was your prediction about Mr. Hancock?

Johnny Tremain

I Think the book is very interesting so far. I think Dove gave Johnny the broken crucible to embarrass Johnny and make Mrs. Lapham think that Dusty and him are more valuable than Johnny. I also think that Johnny and Rab will become great friends.
